A bit of background

Natalie & Chris Bishop founded Little Years Nursery in 2022. The passion and vision came from many years experience in the sector and from their personal experience of having a large family.

Natalie had worked in early years for many years and wanted to offer something unique, their experience of a large family sparked curiosity around family grouping of children rather than the typical age and stage room based experience for children in nursery. Natalie could see that their own children and those from past work experience had thrived in an environment that allowed younger children to learn from older children. Older children demonstrate compassion and care for those younger than them. LYN was born from a passion to create a unique experience for team members, children and their families allowing everyone to thrive. LYN is a place for all children from birth to 5 years and takes inspiration from a mix of early childhood approaches, Montessori, Reggio Emilio, Forest School, and Steiner Waldorf.  Using the natural world around us to shape and educate children in a play-based environment.
